Animated Video about Supercomputing

What is a Supercomputer? DeiC National HPC Center at SDU, has made a Video, a Comic and a Coloring Sheet to Print.

Supercomputers allow scientific researchers and engineers to solve large, advanced, complex computational problems which are too big for a single machine to compute.

A supercomputer is able to perform billions of calculations per second. For example, supercomputers are used to: provide weather forecasts; to help create new medicines; to help design new materials and ways of generating environmentally friendly forms of energy.

An animated video, a comic and a coloring sheet is now available for the Danish public. Feel free to download them here.

ABACUS 2.0 is the name of the DeiC National supercomputer at the Southern University of Denmark (SDU).
